Karl Blossfeldt (1865 – 1932) was a German photographer, sculptor, and teacher.
A 1928 publication of Urformen 500 Kunst (Pilot of Art), the stunning collection of extreme closeup exposure of plants, earned Blossfeldt the place as a pioneer in the New Objectivity art movement. This was followed higher using Wundergarten Der Natur (Magic Garden of Nature and severity), which was published in the month he died, 1932.
